Hey, it's your favorite half of a podcast's band, working out some stuff in the studio - it's just us faffing around, but we miss you and wanted to send you something fun! Bake it away, toys!
So, Console Obscura is still on indefinite hiatus. Ian and Wylie have a band, Kenny has a band, Jimmy is going to college and bought a house, lots of stuff going on in everyone's life! We may get the podcast gang back together at some point in the future, but in the interim, we'll post other stuff members are doing, like this!
Sunstang is Ian and Wylie's band - a four piece, and Ian and Wylie write all the tunes and whatnot. Wylie is the lead singer and Ian plays lead guitar. This is our first ever live show, in entirety, at the Substation in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle. Hope you like it!
More info on the band at www.sunstang.net
We're back with a Dadcast episode for 2018! Wylie and his pops debate the Electoral College!
Wait! Come back!
It's really not boring, we swear!
We're Fall-ing for you. We review two mystery beers and a mystery whiskey. We crack wise. Wylie ages cheese in the trunk of his Jetta. AND MORE.
This episode: What does it mean to be a man, to be masculine, to four cis hetero white dudes in 2017? What have we learned about ourselves, our identities, and how can we be less shitty? What advice can we share with young men coming up in the world?
All this and more.
This week we talk about music - borrowing, biting, theft, homage, covers, Sammy Hagar, and dippin' our dick in the mashed potatoes!
This week, we talk Houston, Stephen King, Modern Etiquette, Star Trek, & more. RIP Walter Becker.

Good morning. In less than an hour, aircraft from here will join others from around the world. And you will be launching the largest aerial battle in this history of mankind.
Mankind -- that word should have new meaning for all of us today.
We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore.
We will be united in our common interests.
Perhaps its fate that today is the 4th of July, and you will once again be fighting for our freedom, not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution -- but from annihilation.
We're fighting for our right to live, to exist.
And should we win the day, the 4th of July will no longer be known as an American holiday, but as the day when the world declared in one voice:
"We will not go quietly into the night!
We will not vanish without a fight!
We're going to live on!
We're going to survive!"
Today, we celebrate THE RETURN OF CONSOLE OBSCURA!!!
We didn't want to have to do another one of these. Certainly not so soon. But... COME ON, MAN...
LIVE FROM LANFORD ILLINOIS, It's Console Obscura: Roseanne!
Pour a few fingers of prewar hooch, crack an ice cold Gwinnett, and join the boys in the wastes of Fallout 4 for a Fallout Fireside Chat.

Musical tidbits while we're away
More goodies while we're on break! Back in the studio soon.
We're still on a brief transitional break, but will return to the studio soon. In the meantime:
This is a record Ian and Wylie made. It's weird. But cool. It's Sunstang.
While we're on a short break, we thought this might be a nice thing to tide y'all over. It's the new soundtrack of your life. The music from year one of Console Obscura...

It's Wylie's 40th birthday, and his dad and brother are in the studio! Hang on to ya butts!
The boys discuss the Star Wars movie canon, from the originals, Rogue One to The Force Awakens, plus that godawful shit Lucas did in the early aughts.
